 The O'Reilly NARA Battle of the
Bluegrass presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts is a Kentucky based regional touring
dirt track racing series organized to offer area racers an affordable
alternative to high-cost traveling circuits.
2009 will be the eighth year for
our series and we try to keep the focus to 22-25 races, all having a
uniform purse structure
and uniform set of rules.
The purpose of the Battle of the
Bluegrass is to organize Late Model and Modified Dirt Track racing in Kentucky
and bring some well needed recognition to our very competitive Kentucky racers.
The reward of this series is to
be a true Kentucky Dirt Track Champion. Racers choosing to follow our series
and compete in at least 80% of the scheduled events will be rewarded with a
points fund at the seasons end.
The Battle of the Bluegrass Series also advertises a number of product lines
through various sponsorships, as we are currently being sponsored by many
well-known major companies such as O'Reilly Auto Parts, Total Lubricants,
MaxBrake, and CarbonX just to name a few.
The series also has hosted several televised events on major sporting networks
such as ESPN2 and the Outdoor Channel.
