5, 2008 O’Reilly Battle of the
Bluegrass Rained Out at 201 Speedway
Sitka, KY-July 5, 2008-
The O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Models
were set for their second appearance of the 2008 race season at 201
Speedway on Saturday evening, but heavy rains moved over the Sitka, KY
clay oval around 5:00 p.m., forcing track and series officials to
cancel the evening’s race program.
The event was cancelled
and series officials hope to be able to render a possible make-up date
for this event at the Chuckie May promoted facility. All track and
series officials apologize for any inconvenience this weathered out
event has caused to race fans and race teams.
The next events for the
O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Models will
be a Central Kentucky weekend doubleheader, beginning on Friday July
11 at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY for the 10th Annual Pete
Abell Memorial, paying $3,000 to win. Bluegrass Speedway in
Bardstown, KY will host the tour the following evening on Saturday
July 12 for the 10th Annual Kentuckiana Klash, with $5,000 up grabs to
the winner of that event.
The O’Reilly Battle of the
Bluegrass DirtCar Series sanctions regional Super Late Model and
Modified regional racing events at tracks in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio,
