15, 2008 O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass Events at
Clinton County Speedway Cancelled

15, 2008- Officials with the O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar
Series are sorry to announce to cancellation of a pair of upcoming
events at Clinton County Speedway in Albany, KY.
One event for the O’Reilly
Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Model division
scheduled for Saturday June 21 has been cancelled, along with an
appearance by the Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series that was
scheduled for August 2.
Citing health problems,
along with the poor economy and low car and spectator counts, promoter
James Brown has put the remainder of the 2008 season on hold at the
3/10 mile red clay oval located in the Alpha community, just outside
of Albany, KY. Everyone associated with the O’Reilly Battle of the
Bluegrass DirtCar Series wish Mr. Brown nothing but the best during
this time and pray for a healthful recovery from medical problems.
The next event now on tap
for the O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late
Models will be on Saturday June 28 at Brownstown Speedway in
Brownstown, IN for the 10th Annual Lee Fleetwood Memorial, paying
$3,000 to win for the racers of America’s most competitive regional
racing series. The next scheduled event for the Battle of the
Bluegrass Modified Series is Friday July 18 at Richmond Raceway in
Richmond, KY as part of the Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial
weekend, paying $1,500 to win.
The O’Reilly Battle of the
Bluegrass DirtCar Series sanctions regional Super Late Model and
Modified regional racing events at tracks in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio,
