O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass May 16 Event at Ponderosa Speedway Rained Out

Louisville, Kentucky-May 16, 2008- Overnight rains, plus persistent morning rain showers, have forced Ponderosa Speedway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz to postpone the O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Model division event scheduled for Friday evening, May 16. 

The event, the 9th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial, has now been rescheduled Friday evening, May 30.  The staff of Ponderosa Speedway and O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series officials apologize for any inconvenience caused by the postponement of this event.   

The next event on the O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Model division schedule is Saturday evening, May 24, at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN.  The race will be a 60 lap, $5,000 to win points paying event for the Louisville, KY based series at the Gary Hall promoted 1/3 mile high-banked red clay oval.  The event will consist of a full schedule of practice, Racing Optics time trials, Graphic Impressions, K&N Performance Engineering, Real Wheels, and Wayne Bowen Racing Supply qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the $3,000 to win A-Main for the Super Late Model division of the Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series.
