O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series Prepares for
Richmond Raceway's Fall Championships |
LEXINGTON, KY (09/10/2007) - The O'Reilly
Battle of the Bluegrass Series presented by Arizona Sport
Shirts will slide back into action on Saturday, September
15th at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY for the 1st Annual
Fall Championships which will see the Late Model drivers
share the spotlight with the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass
Modified Series. During Series the last visit to Richmond
Raceway, 2005 Series Champion Tim Tungate crossed the stripe
first to take home his first Series win on the 2007 season.
As the Series prepares for the homestretch, Richmond Raceway
will play a pivotal role in the 2007 Series point standings.
Coming into the event, Victor Lee leads the points standings
over a strong field of competitors current Cruise with the
Champions Rookie of the Year candidate Jason Keltner in
second, Tyrel Todd third, Tim Tungate in fourth, with David
Webb rounding out the top five. Jerry Rice, Mike Marlar,
Mike Jewell, Chris Combs and Doug Smith make up the rest of
the top ten of the 2007 Championship point standings.
Saturday September 15th will offer a complete program for
the O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass Late Models including
Racing Optics Time Trials, Arizona Sport Shirts Heat Races,
Design 500 B-Mains, and a 40-lap A-Main paying $3,000 to
win, the night is sure to be action packed as many drivers
will be looking to make that final charge to the top of the
points standings.
The purse for the Late Model portion of the 1st Annual
Richmond Raceway Fall Championships is as follows: 1. $3000,
2. $1500, 3. $1000, 4. $800, 5. $750, 6. $700, 7. $650, 8.
$600, 9. $550, 10. $500, 11. $450, 12. $400, 13. $350, 14.
$350, 15. $325, 16. $325, 17. $300, 18. $300, 19. $300, 20.
$300, 21. $300, 22. $300.
With 20 stops of the 2007 season in the history books, the
Series looks to Richmond Raceway to crown its 18th different
winner. With two stops left on schedule, only Don O'Neal,
Mike Marlar and Aaron Hatton have visited victory lane more
than once this season.

328 Greens Crossing Road, 2.4 miles east of Richmond, KY on
Highway 52, then 1 mile north on Greens Crossing Road. The
