Tazewell Speedway Event Cancelled for September 13                         

Louisville, KY- September 12, 2008- Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN was scheduled to host the Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Open Wheel Modified division in a $5,000 to win event on Saturday September 13, but the event has been cancelled. 

With many areas in East Tennessee and surrounding areas either suffering from fuel shortages or being out of fuel altogether, track promoter Gary Hall informed series officials on Friday afternoon of his intent to cancel the event.

Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series officials and Tazewell Speedway track officials will discuss a possible make-up at the beginning of the upcoming week and if a suitable date and time can be agreed upon, the event will be rescheduled at a later date. 

The next scheduled event for the Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series is set for Friday September 19 at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY.  The event will be the Clayton Homes 30, with $2,000 up for grabs for the winner of this event.  The evening’s action will also be taped for viewing at dates by cameras of the Outdoor Channel.
