Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series Visits
Bluegrass Speedway This Saturday, May 27th |

LEXINGTON, KY -- The NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel
Modified Series returns to action this Saturday Night, May 27th
at the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY for the 6th Annual
"Mod Squad Bash". It will be the third event of the season for
Kentucky's premier Open Wheel Modified series as Tommy Bailey
has been victorious in the first two BoB Modified races in
2006.
A complete show for the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel
Modified Series will be on tap at the Charles Hamilton-owned,
David and Anita Ferrell-promoted 1/2-mile oval. Hot Laps will
be immediately followed by Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and
the A-Main paying $1,500 to win and $125 to start. Past winners
of the "Mod Squad Bash" include Joe Mattingly, Benji Lee, Josh
Lucas, Kelly Warren, and Ted Nobbe. The purse for this event is
as follows:

In the first two NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel
Modified Series events held in 2006 Tommy Bailey has been the
man to beat, notching wins at Lake Cumberland and Richmond.
Jimmy Payne and defending Series Champion Joey Kramer are tied
for second with 2004 Series Champion Kelly Warren fourth, and
Adam Gootee fifth.
