Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series ’09 Finale at Moler Raceway Park September 25

Louisville, Kentucky-September 21, 2009- The Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series presented by Graphic Impressions will complete its 2009 racing campaign with an event at the Kim and Kevin Moler promoted Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH. The race will be a 30 lap, $1,500 to win event for the Bluegrass State based open-wheel warriors.

The September 25 Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series event at Moler Raceway Park will see a full program of practice, Racing Optics time trials, REAL Racing Wheels qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the $1,500 win A-Main. Also in competition at Moler Raceway Park on Friday September 25 will be Super Late Models, Street Stocks, and Chevettes.

Activities for the September 25 Moler Raceway Park event will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m., with practice starting at 7:00 p.m., followed by Modified time trials at 7:45, with green flag racing immediately following time trials. Ticket prices for this event will be $15 in the general admission area and $30 in the pit area.

The Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series has made one previous appearance at Moler Raceway Park and that was in August 2008 and Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN won that event.

The A-Main purse for the Friday September 25 event at Moler Raceway Park is as follows: 1st- $1,500, 2nd- $700, 3rd- $500, 4th- $400, 5th- $350, 6th- $300, 7th- $275, 8th- $250, 9th- $225, 10th- $200, 11th- $180, 12th- $160, 13th- $150, 14th- $140, 15th- $130, 16th through 22nd- $125.

Moler Raceway Park is a ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval located just outside of Williamsburg, OH and is promoted by Kim and Kevin Moler. The track is located just outside of Williamburg, OH off of Highway 32 at 2059 Harker Waits Road. The Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series last raced on August 21 at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY and Jason Wheatley of Loretto, KY won that event. Bryan Barber is the series points leader by 59 markers over four-time and defending series champion Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN heading to Moler Raceway Park on September 25. The remainder of the top ten in series points heading to the September 25 event at Moler Raceway Park are J.T. Ayers (New Haven, KY), Don Adams (London, KY), Randy Turpin (Lebanon, KY), Kelly Warren (Columbia, KY), Jason Hall (Hindman, KY), Elliott Despain (Campbellsville, KY), Russ Gabbert (Berea, KY), and Josh Lucas (Bardstown, KY).
