Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series Finale Rained Out at Moler Raceway Park

Louisville, Kentucky-September 24, 2009- The Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series presented by Graphic Impressions season is now complete at the final event of the season scheduled for Friday September 25 at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Off and on rains throughout the course of this week, along with more rain forecasted for Thursday night and Friday morning have prompted Moler Raceway Park track officials to notify Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series officials of the unfortunate circumstance of having to cancel the event. The race will not be made up, therefore, the 2009 Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series season in now complete.

Bryan Barber of Greensburg, KY is the 2009 Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series champion. Four-time and defending series champion Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN is the series championship runner-up. J.T. Ayers of New Haven, KY and Don Adams of London, KY will finish in a tie for third place in the final points, with Ayers garnering the series Rookie of the Year honor for ’09, while Randy Turpin of Lebanon, KY will complete the top five in the final series points tally. The remainder of the top ten in final series points will be Kelly Warren (Columbia, KY), Jason Hall (Hindman, KY), Elliott Despain (Campbellsville, KY), Russ Gabbert (Berea, KY), and Josh Lucas (Bardstown, KY).

The Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series sanctions regional Open Wheel Modified events at tracks in Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.
